If you're ever dreamed of your very own tropical wedding in the Caribbean, we are here to make your wishes come true!

Imagine experiencing a once in a lifetime event at a magical location where your every desire is in the hands of professionals. Imagine your friends and family relaxing by the pool with a tropical beverage enjoying a combined vacation and wedding event.

All this while you and your fiancé are getting ready for your special day with your very own personal assistant taking care of your every whim and desire to make your day as stress free as possible.

Can you imagine having your own professional wedding coordinator personally preparing the entire wedding event with the utmost efficiency?

Does it sound like a dream come true?

If it does, we highly recommend tropical destination resorts as an alternative wedding location.

These Caribbean resorts have the expertise and knowledge and are able to handle every aspect of this special event. If you want an intimate and romantic setting or an all out gala affair with your friends and family, it call can be accomplished for you.

And if there will be numerous guests in your wedding party, click here to read more about the incredible volume discounts available when booking a group, you will be surprised by the incredible pricing you will receive!

Resorts can provide all the necessary services, from the perfect venue for your marriage ceremony, the wedding party, as well as the smallest details like the bride's flowers.

There are some all-inclusive resorts that offer specialized wedding and honeymoon packages that include complimentary services with minimum stay. You can customize your package to request upgrades and other special amenities that you want for your fantasy wedding, these resorts will be more than happy to cater to your every whim and desire!

It is essential to book in advance and coordinating with a planning expert is advised - this is critical for a successful destination wedding. If you are planning your once in a life time event, we recommend you follow the step by step advice below.

Step 1: What Budget Have You Set For Your Wedding Day?

Determine how much you and your fiancée want to spend on your airfare and accommodation. Most couples stay for at least seven nights at the resort, since the trip includes the honeymoon.

Secondly, you should contact your guest list to find out if they will be able pay to travel to your wedding. We highly recommend that you advise your friends and family of the cost of attending your chosen resort for a minimum of three nights.

If you plan to supplement your guests' travel costs, be sure to factor that in.

How many wedding guests can you expect?

Consider this: At the average wedding, 40% of the guests fly in to attend the ceremony and pay for car rentals, hotel accommodations and some meals. Attending your destination wedding won't cost much more, and they get a fun-filled vacation to boot!

Of course, not all invitees will attend. Plan on 35% of your guests declining the invitation based on the cost.

Many of our recommended resorts provide a wedding coordinator and complimentary wedding package with a minimum stay, but if you choose a property that does not offer a wedding package, our travel advisors will help you customize a ceremony to fit your budget.

Step Two: Decide On A Honeymoon Destination

Choose a memorable location for your special day, but keep your guests' budgets in mind - you don't want to discover after hours of planning that your dream resort is too expensive for your favorite friends and family.

Also, remember that airfare represents a large part of the overall package price to any destination, so ask your travel advisor to check package prices from you and your guests' departure cities.

Step Three: Choosing Where To Marry - In The
U.S. Or At Your Destination?

You have two choices - you can marry in the U.S. through a justice of the peace (or equivalent licensing bureau) before you travel and conduct a purely ceremonial wedding in the Caribbean, which is by far the easiest alternative for Americans.

Or you can marry in the Caribbean, which will require you to meet its rules and requirements, such as minimum residency, fees, citizenship documentation, etc. Click here to see those rules now.

Step Four: When Should You Book?

Airfares are not published until 333 days out, so we are unable to quote air-inclusive package prices further than 11 months from departure.

We recommend that you book 10 months before departure, or sooner - six to 10 months out is ideal. Within six months of departure, most resorts start to fill, and room and facility selection becomes limited.

Once you have chosen your resort, our travel advisor will need your estimate of the maximum and minimum number of guests, and their ages, departure cities and estimated length of stay.

Then, you can put down a deposit to guarantee your rate and lock in your wedding date. You can also put down a refundable deposit to secure rooms for your wedding party, or, if you plan to let each attendee book individually.

Encourage them to call your travel advisor to block their space quickly before the resort fills up. The next step is to send out a "Save the Date" notice so your friends and family can plan for the big event.

Deposits of $50-$150 per person are due upon booking when using discounted charter or bulk air, and final payment is due 90 days before departure.

When using specially priced published air, full payment is due when the initial reservation is made, along with a $100 per person deposit for the room nights. Final payment on the land portion is required 90 days before departure.

We hope you find this information useful. If you'd like to talk about planning your wedding and/or honeymoon in the Caribbean, please contact us by using this form and we'll get back to you about planning your dream tropical honeymoon right away.

Best wishes,
